The View in Natomas

At the front of our apartment building is a large pond that is shared with another apartment complex.  It has a walkway around the outside of it and is a nice place to take a walk and enjoy nature. There are also lamp poles and seating areas so that you can enjoy it at any time.  During the Winter months here it is cloudy and rains quite a bit but nature is still blooming everywhere we look.





Even though it is Winter many of the trees do not lose there leaves in the Fall like in Michigan.  Some trees begin to bud flowers in the Winter.  Some still lose their leaves but its over a much longer time period.















One of the nice things about California is that it has flowers that bud throughout the year.  There are bushes that flower beautiful purple buds during winter and then during the spring the green leaves start coming in and the buds wither away.  If you catch it at just the right time you can see both colors in contrast together.










It seems like many of the trees and bushes have a primary color and then pop in with little colors in the background that are just hiding a little bit.  We love seeing all of the color throughout the Seasons.

There is also wildlife that resides in and around the pond.  There are always some birds or geese fighting over the island.

Here are some more examples of the flowers that bloom throughout the Winter time.  To the right are some beautiful trees that blossom all over the area.  And down below you will see some bushes that are common to this area of California that have both red and green leaves.  Great compliment in color to enjoy!  God really knew what He was doing when putting all of nature together!
