Visiting Old Sacramento

Just to the West of downtown Sacramento you will find "Old Sacramento."  Old Sac is a collection of buildings that originate from the 1800's but have been remodeled and continually cared for so that they can still remain in working order.  Most of them now create an old town look and feel with little shops down each street.

Some of the original buildings are no longer in existence, but many of them still stand.  Some of the original lighting is still standing but has been turned over to electric.
This model kept following us around, so Tracy would take pictures of him.

This is a shot from my Senior pictures while in High School.  Just kidding!  Tracy has been practicing her skills of portrait photography on me.  This was next to one of the original 1800's buildings.

The town was filled with Christmas lights that shone bright once it got dark.  There were several Christmas trees on each street and the tallest one (seen here) stood taller than all of the others as it sat at the end of the main street.
There were several trains that are stored here at the pier overlooking an inlet river.  Mostly old time style used for special occasions.
Once we were done in Old Sac we went out to eat at a local restaurant named "Jamies" (Guy Fieri suggested it on the Food Network) and then walked the streets in downtown looking at all of the beautiful Christmas lights.
